When I tell my clients to massage their facial skin (till neck) daily, they do not like the suggestion. But whoever agrees and follows , improves not only skin wise but also healthwise. Attitude also becomes positive!
By massaging daily we accelerate lymphatic circulation.
Lymphatic is derived from latin word, ‘Lymphaticus’, which means connected to water. Lymph is as clear as water.
Our immunity depends on Lymphatic system, which carries white blood cells to the bones. In case of any infection increases in the body, the number of white blood cells also increase to fight the infection.
Lymph drains all the toxins and waste out of the body through lymph nodes which are connected to two major ducts, namely: Thoracic Duct and Cysterna Chyla.
Breath, Urine, Motion, Sweat are also outlets for lymphatic ducts to drain waste and toxins.
Lymphatic cappilaries are placed immediately beneath the skin like viens. There are 600 to 700 Lymph nodes placed all over the body. Out of these 200 lymph nodes are placed on face and neck, 150 on breasts and a large number are placed in the abdomen.

1) Breathe deeply- Inhale, hold and exhale.
Our bodies have 3 times more lymph than blood. There is no organ to pump it. So breathe in fresh air/ oxygen and breathe out toxins.
2) Spot jog for a minute. This dramatically improves lymph flow, as does Pranayaam and Suryanamaskaar.
3) Drink plenty of water. Without adequate water lymph fluid cannot flow properly.
4) Leave simple sugar completely. Rely on complex sugar. Leave fruit juice , prefer fresh fruits. Say no to tinned food, white refined flour, sugar free tablets, fried food, low cost food.
5) Eat plenty of green vegetables: To get adequate chlorophyll to help purify blood and lymph.
6) Eat raw, unsalted nuts.
7) Every evening drink ginger tea.
a)Grate half inch of ginger in 150 ml of water. Bring it to boil. Strain. Put one drop of pure ghee in it. Drink it.
b) Mash one garlic clove and gulp with water early in the morning.
Soak atleast 15 almonds . Soak 2 peeled walnuts saperately. In the morning peel off almonds and add to walnuts. Grind them together by adding milk to them . Once it becomes a smooth paste add 100ml milk to it and no sugar. Drink it and eat an apple. Can have 2 slices of brown bread with a bit of butter after this as breakfast.
d)Eat atleast 2 apples a day.
e)Include 10 gms of jaggery in your diet daily. Drink atleast 8 glasses of water.
f) Avoid pickle, excess salt, chips, fried stuff.
g) Eat small aniseed after evey meal, it is full of vit E.

I) Alternate hot and cold shower for several minutes.
