Taila Pak Vidhi– It is an ancient Ayurvedic method of preparing medicated oil. It’s a magical method as the impossible can be made possible through this method. Special body massage oils for babies, adults, and old age are prepared through this method for curing, beautifying, and energizing purposes.
Method Of Preparation
Collection Of Herbs
While preparing an effective oil through Taila Pak Vidhi, a group of effective herbs is collected. The herbs are washed properly & they are soaked in water. Once they are soft, they are grounded to a fine paste. Few litres of water is added to them and the container is put on a flame to cook. Once the water in the herbs reduces to less than even half, it is allowed to cool. Once it is completely cold then it is filtered.
Decoction
The concentrated decoction is ready which acquires the capability of curing the problems.
To this decoction, one of the Organic oils like almond, olive, coconut, sesame is added. Two oils can be added in a perfect combination and ratio depending upon the result you desire to extract. Keeping specific problems in mind the herbs, oils, and ratios are chosen.
Organic Oils
The Organic Oil / Oils put in the decoction are further cooked on flame till the decoction completely dissolves in the oil i.e. The water in it completely evaporates. It is cooked till the intended Roopa, Varna are achieved.
Oil is then cooled and filtered. In the end, Essential Oils and nutrients can be added.
This procedure enhances the potential of the oil.
Difference Between Decoction & Concoction:
Decoction:
One or more herbs are cooked in water. A decoction is always in concentrated form.
Concoction:
Boiling one or more of something (such as a food or drink) in water to extract out its flavour and nutrients.
This is not at all concentrated.
Ex: Tea liquor.
